Malcolm Groves

Executive Leader and Non-Executive Director

Malcolm Groves is a software executive and board advisor with 30+ years of experience. His career has focused on the intersection of deep technical architecture and corporate strategy. He has led large Asia Pacific business units and currently serves as the CEO of a software firm focused on DevSecOps.

Board and Governance Experience Malcolm has served as a Non-Executive Director for ServiceRocket for over eight years. In this role, he works with a global leadership team to govern growth and strategy across the US, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MAICD) and is enrolled in the Company Directors Course for April 2026. He also holds a fiduciary role as Secretary of the Fort Street High School P&C, an incorporated association requiring rigorous regulatory compliance and stakeholder management.

Technical Oversight and Risk Malcolm provides a technical sanity check for boards and executive teams. He helps leadership identify hidden liabilities in software portfolios and manage the risks associated with emerging technology. His expertise is backed by formal credentials in AI Strategy from Wharton and Cyber Security GRC from Macquarie University.

He brings a pragmatic perspective to technology oversight. He understands the high-level policy requirements of the boardroom but also knows the operational reality of mission-critical system failures. This dual perspective helps boards move beyond buzzwords to manage actual algorithmic risk and technical debt.

Professional Affiliations and Discipline Malcolm is a member of the Australian Government’s Trusted Information Sharing Network (TISN) and the Australian Information Security Association (AISA).

Outside of his professional work, he is a Hapkido Black Belt. He has spent over 10 years on the mat.
